Fundraising

A GREAT PUBLIC EDUCATION ISN’T FREE.

The cost to educate a Piedmont student with our current curriculum:
$14,910 per student
Funds received by Piedmont from state and local funding:
$13,372 per student

THE GAP = $1,538 PER STUDENT

Each year, PUSD counts on funding of approximately $1.8 million dollars from our community, approximately 8% of the annual budget. Since it is unlikely that state and local funding will reach the levels needed to support our programs, we will continue to need at least this amount to support our schools.

In addition to the Measure A Parcel Tax which raises over $9 million annually, Piedmont schools rely on many fundraising programs, both at the elementary school level to the district level: Giving Campaign, Spring Fling, Beach Dad’s Club Events, SCRIP, Book Fair, Beach Revue, Harvest Festival and many more to raise almost $2 million each year.  Find out more at https://www.piedmontedfoundation.org

These funds are critical to maintain the quality of education which is hallmark of the Piedmont community. We hope you can find at least one cause to get excited about supporting.
