The Beach Dads hosted a successful Battle of the Bands on Friday, Feb 10 at the New Parish. Congratulations to Tod Puckett of the Puckett Family Project who emerged as the new Baja Padres King of Rock.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported this great fundraiser – where else can you have such a great time and support Beach and the Beach Community as well?
Lucy’s Home Alone, a band of recent Beach alumni middle school and high school students, started the evening with style and swagger; Tammy’s Camero amped it up a notch, The Puckett Family Project got their funky groove on, and Mercy, Mercy, Mercy brought it home with a blistering set of classic rock.
And Beach’s very own Arthur Ward laid down some great sax lines in between sets.
As King Puckett observed, ““It was a ridiculously fun, festive evening. This felt like the best battle thus far. Tammy’s Camaro was so dialed in, asalways. Blew me away from first beat of sound check. Killer horn section, but their song selection is what always pulls me in every year. I very muchenjoyed Aaron Fisher‘s guitar teamed with the Ivy Room house band. Sucha tight combo.”
Thanks to everyone who made this event a great success!
