Over 800 people came to this year’s Beach Dads Club 8th Annual Pancake Breakfast. Held in conjunction with the PAINTS Chalk Art Festival, the event is a great hallmark of the community spirit Beach is known for. Under sunny skies, we served five kinds of pancakes, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, coffee and OJ to hundreds of happy Beach families and neighbors, raising thousands of dollars toward enrichment programs for the schools. We’d like to thank the Piedmont Post, Mulberry’s, Piedmont Grocery, Peet’s on Piedmont Avenue, Butterfly Restaurant, the Village Market, Fork in the Road Foods, Ghirardelli Chocolate, and Safeway for their generous donations, Almaden Press and D’Angelo Visual for printing and banners, Brian Judd and the Sunday Morning Pancake Ramblers for the Bluegrass, Pedro Maravilla for his outstanding grounds support, and last but not least, the whole Beach community for its enthusiastic support.
We thank you all from the bottoms of our syrupy hearts. This year’s much loved community-building event was a success by all measures, especially by those who came expecting to wait in line and found none at all!
Below are some of the wonderful Beach Centennial chalk drawings created by parents, students, neighbors and friends.
See you all next year.
